The Fell Gard Codices

Post Recap, 19-12-12

December 19th, 2012

It’s been a while since I reviewed the posts I’ve put up here on the blog, so I’ll just do that now.

To start with, I had a series of posts about the aleatory process of creating the dungeon; the whole series can be found at that link. I also had two posts about the ways I use Wikipedia and the ‘random article’ feature thereon. I’ve also put up links to some of my pieces at Black Gate, on Phyllis Ann Karr’s At Amberleaf Fair, on Alan Moore’s Voice of the Fire, on Zenna Henderson’s collection The Anything Box, on J.M. DeMatteis and Jon J. Muth’s Moonshadow, and on what might be some bad reading habits I’ve picked up.

I also posted about about some topics of general fantasy interest: C.S. Lewis earned a spot in Poets’ Corner, and an old Livejournal post by Scott Lynch made some news for all the right reasons. I had a couple of thoughts strike me about  literature, allegory, and the way negative capability works against the Dunning-Kruger effect. Also, I found a movie I always wanted to see at an internet archive. Other than that, I played a fun board game, went to a book sale, and continued to wait for a resolution to the NHL lockout. Finally, I’m still thinking about fantasy without rules.

More to come.
